A woman crosses the road with three cars parked nearby on what appears to be an otherwise peaceful day in this village.
These pictures from the Watford Observer archive were taken in Kings Langley in July 1963 for the purposes of a feature on the village.
The images, captured in High Street approaching the junction with Langley Hill, show a branch of Lloyds Bank on the left, next to an Esso garage advertising Austin and Morris cars.

Beyond that is a Post Office and next door to that is the historic Saracen’s Head pub which dates back to 1619.
