A road in the centre of Watford has been closed 24/7 this morning for emergency water supply repairs.
St Johns Road, at the junction with Clarendon Road heading towards Queen’s Road, is currently shut to traffic.
Hertfordshire Highways warned motorists of potential delays as Affinity Water completes the repair works, which according to One Network could last into next week.

Affinity Water said: “During these types of works, there may be some disruption to road users, please factor this into any journeys you make during this time.”
When an emergency permit is granted, however, work can often be completed significantly earlier, as it is difficult to estimate how long repairs will take.
Pedestrians are able to use the pavement as normal.
There are already lengthy delays in St Johns Road on either side of the road closure, according to Google Maps, as of 11.10am.
