A gambling centre and a café in Watford have applied for licences related to the sale of alcohol.
Silvertime, in High Street, wants to make changes to its existing licence to allow it to sell alcohol for longer, while the Bla Bla Café, in Clarendon, has applied for a new premises licence.

High Street – alcohol licence
A gambling centre in Watford High Street wants to make changes to its licence to allow it to sell alcohol into the early hours of the morning.
Silvertime Amusements Ltd has applied to Watford Borough Council for a variation of premises licence for Silvertime, 48-50 High Street, Watford, WD17 2BS.
The proposal is to extend the sale of alcohol on the premises from the current hours of 10am to 11.30pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 10am to midnight on Friday and Saturday, to new hours of 10am to 3am Monday to Sunday.
The notice states there will be no change to the late-night refreshment or opening hours.

Clarendon Road – alcohol licence
A café in Watford has applied for a licence to sell alcohol.
Bomboni Ltd has made an application for the new grant of a premises licence for Bla Bla Café & Bomboni at 37, Clarendon Road, Watford, WD17 IJA.
If granted, the application will permit the sale of alcohol on and off the premises from 8am to 11pm daily.
Any representations should be made in writing to Watford Licensing Authority.
Roads in Rickmansworth and Chorleywood – temporary closures
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prevent vehicles from using the following lengths of roads while roadworks are carried out:
- Quickley Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Rendlesham Way north eastwards to its junction with Hillside Road, a distance of approximately 383m.
- The Drive, Rickmansworth from its junction with The Clump south eastwards to its junction with High Close, a distance of approximately 689m.
- The Clump, Rickmansworth from its junction with A404 Chorleywood Road south westwards to its junction with The Drive, a distance of approximately 248m.
If made, the order will take effect on April 29 and be valid for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the roads.
High Street, Bushey – flag pole
A planning application has been submitted to install a 6m white flag pole at a park and gardens.
The application to Hertsmere Borough Council is to install the flag pole at Bushey Rose Garden, High Street, Bushey.
The application reference is 24/0281/ADV/CE.
