Watford trains are facing disruption this afternoon as a fallen tree is blocking the railway.
At around 1.15pm, National Rail shared that it was carrying out a safety inspection of the track between Clapham Junction/London Euston and Watford Junction.
It said that this was expected to delay trains by up to 20 minutes, until 2pm.
By 1.25pm, National Rail had confirmed that disruption was expected to last for an extra 30 minutes as the safety inspection had revealed a tree was blocking lines.

Both London Overground and National Rail services are affected.
There is also disruption between Willesden Junction and Richmond/Clapham Junction due to an object being caught in the overhead electric wires.

A yellow warning for strong winds covers almost all of England, including Hertfordshire today.
It has been in place since 6.25am and is expected to last until 10pm.
The Met Office warned it could cause disruption for journeys via road and rail.
