- A lorry has been involved in a crash in the southbound M1 at Junction 6A, according to Herts Fire and Rescue.
- Both of the service's Hemel crews were at the scene, alongside the rescue support unit, after being called out at 11.53am.
- There were 40-minute delays heading south, according to Google Maps, before it was confirmed that the carriageway had been closed (southbound).
- The link road from junction 6A to the M25 remains closed in both directions after the lorry collided with Blunts Lane bridge that goes over the motorway.
- National Highways does not expect it to clear until 7.30pm.
- The motorway itself has reopened.
- The lorry driver has been taken to hospital.
