A woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody following the death of a child.
Emergency services had been spotted in Juniper Square, Hemel Hempstead, after being called to reports of a medical emergency at an address in the road yesterday afternoon (April 14).
Herts Police, who were called to assist at the scene at around 4.40pm, said: “A child was taken to hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately died a short time later.

“A 29-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and an investigation is now underway by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.”
The force have confirmed that she remains in custody as of this morning (April 15). Update to follow.
