The slip roads leading to and from major roads in Watford are among those set to be shut for roadworks.
Details of Herts County Council’s intention to close the A41 slip roads linking to the A405 and a lengthy section of Little Bushey Lane are among those that have been posted in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.
All orders are valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times shown at or near the relevant locations.
Here are three notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford and Bushey.
A41 slip roads – temporary closure
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prevent vehicles form using the following lengths of road:
- The A41 eastbound slip road leading from the A405 North Orbital Road roundabout, Watford from its junction with the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, a distance of approximately 405m.
- The A41 westbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road roundabout, Watford from its junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue north westwards to its junction with the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 355m.
If made, the order will come into force on April 22.
Little Bushey Lane – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to prevent motorists from using Little Bushey Lane, Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road south eastwards to its junction with Coldharbour Lane, a distance of approximately 1938m, except for access.
Additionally all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the road whilst works are in progress.
This order, if made, will take effect on April 22.
Aldenham Road – temporary closure
An order is intending to be made to prohibit drivers from using the B462 Aldenham Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Chalk Hill north eastwards to its junction with The Larches, a distance of approximately 91m, except for access.
This order, if granted, will be valid from April 23.
