Across Watford, the Asda garage in the Odhams Industrial Estate was confirmed as currently the cheapest place to fill on both petrol and diesel, which currently cost 142.7p and 151.7p respectively, according to PetrolMap.co.uk.
Two Shell garages offered the worst value for money, as the Hunton Bridge station had the most expensive petrol at 154.9p and a litre of diesel cost 161.9p at the Croxley Green branch.
While Asda may be the cheapest option in Watford, this might not be the case everywhere as the RAC found the supermarket charged a huge 34.2p difference for a litre of unleaded between its cheapest and most expensive garages, with an average of 145p nationwide.
