Drivers using a major road in Watford may experience delays later this month when part of it is closed for inspection works.
The A41 North Western Avenue is set to be shut overnight between April 22 and April 24 for the works at the Leavesden Green Roundabout.
Streets in Kings Langley, Rickmansworth and Bushey are also due to be affected by closures during this month.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to take place across our area in the coming weeks:
- Vehicles will be unable to access Chantry Close, Kings Langley, from today until Tuesday during daytime hours while micro-surfacing works are carried out. The road will be shut from Rectory Lane to the end of Chantry Close each day from 7.30am to 6pm.
- Station Road, Rickmansworth, is set to be shut on Monday evening for works by Virgin Media, subject to a permit being granted. The closure is due to be in place from 7pm to 11.30pm.
- Delays are likely in Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley, on Monday and Tuesday when pathway reconstruction works are due to be carried out close to The Unicorn pub. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Micro-surfacing works are due to shut Rectory Lane, Bushey, from Monday to Wednesday. The road is due to be closed between 7.30am and 6pm each day from A411 High Street to the church gates.
- Blackwell Road, Kings Langley, is due to be closed from 8am to 6pm, from Monday to Friday, for works by UK Power Networks. A local diversion will be in place.
- A section of the A41 North Western Avenue will be affected by overnight closures this month for pier and bearing inspections:
From 9pm on April 22 to 5am on April 23, the road will be shut from Dodd Road to Leavesden Green Roundabout overbridge including the westbound exit slip to the roundabout.
From 9pm on April 23 to 5am on April 24, the entry slip eastbound from Leavesden Green Roundabout will be closed to vehicles.
Pathway reconstruction works are set to shut Meadow Road, Watford, from April 22 to May 10, subject to a licence being approved.
