A fallen tree has blocked the road towards an M25 junction, causing a queue of heavy traffic.
The A404 Chorleywood Road was left impassable by a fallen tree near the junction with Chestnut Avenue, Rickmansworth, this afternoon.
Hertfordshire County Council Highways warned that motorists cannot through at around 4.30pm and motorists are reporting long delays nearby.

According Google Maps, there are queues stretching back to The Royal Masonic School for Girls as of 4.45pm.
Earlier today, the Tornado and Storm Research Organisation warned that areas of Hertfordshire (including Rickmansworth and Watford) could see wind gusts of 50 to 70mph until 8pm.

There are also 30-minute delays in the M25 itself, between Rickmansworth and Heathrow.
The RAC had said that the M25 between the M23 for Gatwick and the M1in Hertfordshire was likely to be the UK’s busiest stretch of motorway from 4pm today.
Journey times are projected to be more than double the usual this afternoon.
