A section of a motorway near Watford is set to shut overnight next month for roadworks.

The M25 is due to be closed from Junction 18 to Junction 20 overnight from April 8 to April 9 to allow the works to be carried out.

Some roads in Watford are also due to be closed at the start of next month for micro-surfacing works.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place across our area over the coming weeks:

- Delays are likely in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, from today until Wednesday when a lane is due to be closed for works by Openreach, subject to a permit being approved. The works are set to take place just past the junction with Rosslyn Road.

- A two-week closure of Nascot Street, Watford, is set to start today for pathway reconstruction works. The road will be closed until April 12 while the works take place from outside No. 41 to the junction with Maulden Road.

- Motorists can expect delays in Clarendon Road, Watford, when Affinity Water carry out works on Sunday, April 7. Two-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Gartlet Road.

- Beechwood Road, Watford, will be closed during the daytime from April 6 to April 8 for micro-surfacing works. The road is due to be shut to drivers from 7.30am to 6pm each day.

- Drivers will be unable to access Cherry Tree Road, Watford, during daytime hours from April 7 to April 9 due to micro-surfacing works. The road will be closed between 7.30am and 6pm each day while the work takes place from Berry Avenue to the new road surface at the junction with Oakdene Road.

- The M25 is due to be closed overnight from Junction 18 to Junction 20 from 10pm on April 8 to 5am on April 9 for litter clearance and maintenance works. The entry slip roads will also be shut during this time and the diversions will be via local authority roads.

- Micro-surfacing works are set to shut Queens Road, Watford, from 9.30am to 4pm, from April 8 to April 10. The road will be closed from the junction with Orphanage Road to Radlett Road and a diversion route will be in place.
