A Watford man has been found not guilty of rape and attempted rape after a trial.

Oladapo Kosefobamu, of North Western Avenue, was accused of the rape of a woman 16 years or older in West London on August 28, 2021.

He was also charged with the attempted rape of a woman aged 16 or older several hours later at the same flat.

In November 2022, he pleaded not guilty to both offences, but the trial did not begin until March 4 this year at Isleworth Crown Court.

The 25-year-old was found not guilty on all charges.

In 2022, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that there was a delay in proceedings due to the defence changing his legal team ahead of the plea and trial preparation hearing.
