Monz Hair Designs, a community-supporting salon, based in Mill End, has celebrated its 20th anniversary.
In 2004, the salon opened its doors at 74 Church Lane in Rickmansworth as 'Zomon Hair Designs'.
Monica and Zoe, the co-creators, envisioned a friendly all-inclusive salon.
Their dedication and commitment to this vision bore fruits, transforming the salon into a much-loved family hub within a decade.
Monica Massey, the manager, reflected on the salon's milestone, highlighting years of dedicated service, hard work, and meaningful memories.
She said: "As a small business we pride ourselves on being a part of the local community and being able to support local events such as school fêtes and charity functions and events.
"We also have wonderful neighbours on Church Lane Parade, with all the shops supporting us - we have a great relationship with them all.
"The last thing I want to say is thank you to my wonderful team and to our wonderful clientele that keep returning to keep Monz Hair Designs as busy as it is.
"I am looking forward to the upcoming years and taking the salon to new heights."
The salon underwent a transition in 2014, adopting its current name, Monz Hair Designs.
Over the following years, the hair salon experienced steady growth, enhancing its reputation in the industry.
It marked multiple life occasions - from birthdays, weddings, to the births of children - with its ever-growing clientele, and the salon team expanded from the original pair to a vibrant crew of twelve stylists.
Undoubtedly, Monz' pivotal moment arrived in July 2021 when it clinched the Hairdresser of the Year title in Hertfordshire.
This recognition propelled the salon's visibility, drawing in a more extensive client base and strengthening its foothold in the hair industry.
The salon's collaboration with local colleges is applauded as it readily offers work experience and engages Saturday staff from aspiring hairdressers in the area.
Monica views this as an opportunity to guide budding hairdressers in the area.
As the celebrations ensue, there's anticipation building for the upcoming years, as the salon has every intention to continue to scale new heights.
