There are several famous sons and daughters of Watford and one has become one of the most popular faces on our TV screens
Actor, comedian and presenter Bradley Walsh was born in the town in 1960 and attended Francis Combe School.
In November 1994, he returned to what is now Future Academies Watford as the special guest at a prize giving ceremony - and a photographer from this newspaper was also present to capture these snaps of the occasion.
- When Wham! star was snapped at father's photo exhibition
- 1980's pop idol snapped after failing driving test
- When a TV comedy legend went back to school
These pictures from our archive show the presenter of shows including Beat the Chasers and Gladiators being introduced before the laughs soon started when he spoke to those in attendance.
