Overflowing rubbish from a pub’s neighbours has attracted vermin and blocked deliveries after not being cleared.
North Watford residents have walked into The Cother Arms to blast the disgusting state of the bins behind it, but recently landlady Tanya Bunting has started taking them to the back to show them which bins are actually the pub’s.
The offending bin storage area actually belongs to the flats above the boozer and the rubbish has apparently not been collected in months after piling far beyond the actual receptacles.

Despite this fact, it has got so bad that staff have had to start re-bagging waste foxes appeared to have got at and using a hose to clear maggots, because rubbish ended up strewn beyond the bin area.
“It is just horrible, especially the smell,” the landlady said. “It is an eyesore, especially when you drive past.
“We had to bag stuff up and throw it in further. We have to clear it because it is actually blocking our deliveries, which costs us £250.
“But it’s not our job.”
She claims October last year was the last time the bins were taken away, after the Watford Observer covered the issue.
At the time, Watford Borough Council said it had contacted management several times over the rubbish but explained that it is the responsibility of the property owner to make sure residents dispose of waste properly.
Although this did result in a collection, waste started piling up again right away.
Yesterday (March 7), the managing agent for the properties said that the freeholder has been in contact with the council and another collection has been arranged.
However, it did not have a firm date for when this will take place.
Watford Borough Council has confirmed the freeholder is in the process of getting a quote to remove all waste going forward and will be arranging to make a secure bin area.
The Cother Arms' staff agree the main thing now is just getting the waste cleared but admitted that they fear the issue could quickly return unless changes are made.
