A 16-year-old from Watford has been jailed after he and another violent offender stabbed a teen multiple times.
The boy and the other attacker, Dimeiro Campbell, had been in Gillingham High Street with “some associates” on March 9 last year when they saw a teenager they did not know, Kent Police explained.
The pair approached him and briefly spoke with him before stabbing him multiple times, even stabbing their victim in the back after he fell to the ground.

The teen suffered multiple injuries including an arterial bleed from a wound in one of his arms while the assailants fled the scene before police arrived.
For legal reasons, the Watford resident cannot be identified while Campbell has been because he is 18.
After police officers and two passing members of the public gave first aid, including the use of tourniquets, the victim was taken to hospital. He was treated for “life-threatening” injuries and has since been discharged.
Detective Sergeant Raj Dusanjh said: “This was an appalling assault in a busy town centre that could have resulted in the death of the young victim.
"It is only thanks to the timely efforts of the emergency services and, in particular, two members of the public that his life was saved.
“Both offenders came to the High Street armed with knives and intent on violence.
“Their assault on the victim was entirely unprovoked and investigators were determined to track them down.
“This was completed within 24-hours and the comprehensive examination of CCTV and recovery of other evidence, ensured their conviction and imprisonment.”
The police were able to find CCTV footage from the area and identify the younger offender. Campbell was then confirmed as the second person involved and both were arrested on March 10, 2023.
The 16-year-old was arrested at his home address in Watford, and Campbell at Victoria Railway Station in London.
Investigators also recovered one of the knives that had been hidden in an alleyway near Campbell’s home in Chester Road, Gillingham.
The next day, both were charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
They pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court and, on Friday (March 1, 2024) both were sentenced to four years and three months’ imprisonment.
