A “development opportunity” with planning permission to turn a mansion into flats has been put up for sale for £4million.
The proposal to demolish Wildacre, a seven-bedroom home in a 0.76-acre plot in The Woods between Northwood and South Oxhey was approved by Three Rivers District Council in August last year.
Under the designs, it would then be replaced with a “traditional” arts and crafts-style building, divided into eight two-bedroom flats, with underground parking.

- Plan to demolish building and build 29 flats
- Rumoured Celebrity Big Brother cast descend on Watford hotel
The house was previously sold in August 2022, after a £2,500,000 guide price was given, but after planning permission was secured the land was put on the market at £3,999,999 on Saturday (March 2).

Three ground floor flats, three more on the first floor, and two on the roof level were proposed and green-lit, with each having two underground parking spots.
Two guest parking spaces are also set to be built.
Conditions attached to the approval largely related to further information that would need to be provided prior to either the development commencing or the first occupation of the flats.
