A songwriter who has worked with some of the biggest acts in music is set to perform when a secondary school throws a big party to celebrate its 70th anniversary this summer.
Phil Plested is a former Rickmansworth School student and has worked with artists including Lewis Capaldi, Little Mix, Anne-Marie and David Guetta.
He is due to be one of the biggest attractions when the Scots Hill school hosts ‘Party on the Hill’ on Saturday, July 6 to mark its Platinum Jubilee.

In addition, the event will showcase the talents of Glassminds and Electric Umbrella as well as talented performers from the school.
The musical performances will not be the only attractions at ‘Party on the Hill’, with a selection of fun fair rides, stalls and various food and drink options, including a bar for those wishing to raise a glass in celebration of the school that was established in 1953.
Matt Fletcher, Headteacher of Rickmansworth School, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming current students and their families, alumni and the local community to our 70th anniversary 'Party on the Hill'.
“Our staff, students, and buildings may have changed over the last 70 years, but we remain proud of our role educating the young people of our community.
“We look forward to coming together for this special day as we celebrate our school's rich history and bright future."
‘Party on the Hill’ is due to run from 11.30am to 4pm on July 6 and tickets are now available from TRYBOOKING.COM/UK/CUIG.
Early bird prices will be held until April 30, with tickets available at reduced prices of £10 for adults, £7 for students and concessions, £32 for a family of four and £38 for a family of five.
