Motorists are reporting traffic “chaos” near temporary lights amid Herts Highways warnings to avoid the area.
At around 3.40pm today Hertfordshire County Council Highways shared that there were delays in the area around Hartspring Lane (B462) due to roadworks.
Temporary multi-way signals have been in use near the Toby Carvery at Hartspring Roundabout since work began at 10.30am, according to One Network.

Locals driving at the roundabout have reported “road chaos” earlier today, with queues onto the roundabout blocking the A41, but there were more concerns about how the traffic could get around rush hour.

Leep Electricity Networks Ltd is carrying out the work in order to install a new service connection. It is set to remain in place until the end of March 22.
The pavement has not been shut.
As of 4.15pm, Google Maps is showing congestion all the way to Aldenham in Hartspring Lane/Radlett Road and to the Berrygrove Interchange in the A41 .
