A woman in her 70s was left “shaken” after a gang of youths kicked her door and set fire to her doormat.
The "reckless" offence in Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley, is being investigated as suspected arson, Herts Police said.
At around 5.30pm on Monday, February 19, the youths began kicking the door of the woman’s home before setting the mat alight.

Herts Fire and Rescue and police officers were then called to the scene.
PC Conor Fountain said: “The owner of the property is a lady in her seventies who is understandably very shaken up. Thankfully she was unhurt but this reckless behaviour could have resulted in a very different outcome.
“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. Were you in the area? Did you see something suspicious? Any information you have could be vital to our investigation.
