Ongoing works at a major junction are set to cause more disruption this weekend and lead to a busy road being shut next week.

Leep Electricity Networks has been carrying out works to install a new service connection since last month and that work will continue from today at the junction with St Albans Road and Horseshoe Lane.

It will also result in part of Horseshoe Lane being shut to motorists from Monday until Sunday, February 25.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works planned across our area until the start of next month.

- Motorists are likely to experience delays on the A405 North Orbital Road, Watford, from today (Friday) until Monday while Leep Electricity Networks install a new service connection. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use at the junction with St Albans Road and Horseshoe Lane, and in both these roads.

- Delays are likely in Sparrows Herne, Bushey, from Saturday until February 26 while Openreach carry out works. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use at this time.

- California Lane, Bushey Heath, is due to be closed to drivers from Monday to Wednesday for works by Affinity Water. A diversion route will be in operation.

- A section of Horseshoe Lane, Watford, will be shut to drivers from Monday to Sunday, February 25 while a new service connection is installed by Leep Electricity Networks. A 273m section of the road is due to be closed a short distance from the junction with the A405 North Orbital Road and a diversion will be in place.

- Part of Sandringham Road, Watford, will be closed to motorists between 9.30am and 4pm, from February 23 to March 1, for resurfacing works. The road will be shut from the junction of Bushey Mill Lane to the junction with Buckingham Road.

- Water Lane, Watford, is set to be shut to vehicles on February 25 and 26 for works by Affinity Water, subject to a permit being approved.

- Subject to the approval of a permit, a section of High Street, Watford, will also be closed on February 25 and 26 for works by Affinity Water.

- Part of Nicolson Drive, Bushey Heath, will be closed between February 26 and March 6 for pathway reconstruction works. The road is due to be shut from Beamish Drive to Finucane Rise.

- Delays are likely in St Albans Road, Watford, when Affinity Water will be carrying out works from February 27 to March 3. The works are due to take place on the section between Terrace Gardens and Bedford Street and a lane will be closed at this time.
