A housing provider has explained why one part of the Kytes Drive planning applications was withdrawn.
As the site straddles the border of Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council's jurisdictions for planning and contains a listed building, the proposal is made up of five separate applications.
On Tuesday (February 13), the application for listed building consent submitted to Three Rivers District Council was withdrawn and there was some confusion about whether this represented a blow to the overall development plan.

The applicant Anchor Homes told the Watford Observer that the initial proposal had not been necessary and so the rest of the development remains on track.
Its senior development manager for Kytes Drive, Nick Hodgskin, said: “There is a requirement on applicants to submit replica applications to both planning authorities when a proposed development covers two local council areas.
“As a result of this requirement, we initially submitted a duplicate application to Three Rivers Council as per planning procedure.
“However, there is no listed building within the part of Kytes Drive that lies within Three Rivers Council’s boundaries and therefore they will not consider the application and asked us to withdraw it.”
