A woman has appeared for sentencing over cocaine possession after a raid in Watford led to police closing down a flat.
Nicola Watkins, formerly of Albanwood, was charged with possession of a class A drug after a search warrant was carried out in the road on January 19.
During an appearance in St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 6), the 38-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge. This means if Watkins commits any further offences during the next year, she will be in breach of the order and would risk being re-sentenced.

On February 1, Herts Police obtained a three-month closure order for the flat after finding cocaine and amphetamine during the raid.
The force said that the property had continued to be a source of misery for neighbours even after warnings and repeated police visits. The cocaine seized during the search warrant has since been destroyed, police confirmed.
Flavio Ca-Landim, of Wenlock Street, Islington, was also arrested in connection with the same search warrant. After being charged with possession of a class A drug (amphetamine), the 18-year-old was released on bail and is next scheduled to appear at St Albans Magistrates' Court on February 22.
