All lines are closed on a Watford Junction train route as emergency services respond to an incident.
National Rail has confirmed that trains running between Rugby and Watford Junction will be disrupted this afternoon, from around 2.25pm.
Its service alteration details say that all lines are closed as emergency services are dealing with an incident.
British Transport Police have confirmed that they are currently at the scene near Milton Keynes railway station following reports of "concern for welfare".
"The incident is ongoing," the force added.

Update: Avanti West Coast says lines have reopened:

National Rail has pushed the expected time for "major disruption" to clear back to 7pm. Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled entirely.
London Northwestern Railway has also warned passengers of potential delays. It said: “Due to emergency services dealing with an incident all lines are currently blocked through Milton Keynes.”
Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Northampton and Watford Junction. Passengers may be entitled to compensation.
