An underpass in a major Watford road is shut to traffic due to flooding.
Hertfordshire Highways confirmed that the A41 North Western Avenue is closed at the underpass beneath the Leavesden Green roundabout, just before 1pm today (February 8).
According to the listing on One Network, the closure is set to be in place until 7pm and began at 12.45pm, although it may lift earlier or later.

Diversions are in place using the A405 roundabout.
A yellow weather warning is in place for Watford and across the south of England for rain until 6am tomorrow.
Heavy showers were forecast for the morning, but they are set to ease by mid-afternoon, ahead of more downpours this evening.

“Periods of heavy rain will bring the possibility of some disruption, particularly to transport,” a Met Office statement said.
“Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.
“Bus and train services will probably be affected, with journey times taking longer. Spray and flooding on roads may also make journey times longer.”
