Heavy rain is forecast in Watford today, disrupting transport and with a possible risk of homes and businesses flooding, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning is in place for Watford and across the south of England for rain until 6am tomorrow.
Heavy showers are forecast in the morning, easing by mid-afternoon, before more downpours this evening.
“Periods of heavy rain will bring the possibility of some disruption, particularly to transport,” a Met Office statement reads.
“Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.
“Bus and train services will probably be affected, with journey times taking longer. Spray and flooding on roads may also make journey times longer.”

The region will see heavy downpours this morning from 9am to midday, with a 90-95 per chance of rain and a temperature of 5C.
The showers will ease through the early afternoon as temperatures rise, with 60 per chance of rain at midday and 50 per cent at 2pm.
The rain is then forecast to pause between 3pm and 5pm, when it will be 10C.
From 5pm the showers will return with heavy downpours forecast from 6pm until midnight, at 90-95 per cent chance of precipitation, continuing into the early hours of Friday morning.
