A man has been sentenced after he admitted stealing Christmas decorations from Watford homes.
Vasile Masalschi, 57, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft at St Albans Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 5, following the incidents on December 10.
Mr Masalschi stole the decorations - a £20 white disco ball, a £30 Santa decoration, and Christmas lights worth £40 - from three separate homes.
He was ordered to undergo a six-month alcohol treatment order, a 15-day rehabilitation activity, and pay £90 in compensation to the three victims, to be deducted from his benefits.

Herts Police had received reports of a man unscrewing a decorative Christmas light from a front door in Balmoral Road, North Watford, between 6am and 6.30am.
The decorations belonged to Mary Malone, whose Ring doorbell footage captured one of three thefts committed by Masalschi that day.
At the time, she said: “I did see him, it was frightening. The sensor light came on and there was the Ring doorbell, but he took no notice whatsoever of it.”
Others also posted online claiming they had spotted him in other roads such as Norfolk Avenue, St Albans Road, and Bradshaw Road.
