A road notorious for the accidents at its width restriction is due to be shut for roadworks from Tuesday while works by a water company may cause disruption in another residential street for more than a month.
Works by an electricity firm are set to close Woodmere Avenue, Watford, to motorists from Tuesday to February 9.
Also from Tuesday – and lasting to the middle of March – Affinity Water are scheduled to begin works in Hayling Road, South Oxhey.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network and is a selection of the works due to begin across our area within the next couple of weeks:
- Delays are likely in Eastbury Road, Watford, from Monday to Wednesday when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. These are due to take place between the junctions with Brookdene Avenue and The Willows and multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Woodmere Avenue, Watford, will be shut to drivers from Tuesday to February 9 for works by Leep Electricity Network Ltd. The closure will be in place between the junctions with the A41 Colne Way and Douglas Avenue and a diversion route will be in operation.
- Delays are likely in Hayling Road, South Oxhey, for more than a month from Tuesday due to works by Affinity Water. These are due to take place daily from 8am to 5pm and are scheduled to last until March 14. Two-way traffic lights will be in use at this time close to the junction with Harewood Road.
- A section of Croxley View, Watford, will be closed to drivers from Wednesday to Friday, February 2 for micro surfacing preparation works. The road will be shut from 7.30am to 6pm in the spur for Nos. 184 to 198 including Couper House and the garage access road.
- Cherry Tree Road, Watford, is due to be shut to motorists from 7.30am to 6pm, from Friday, February 2 to February 6 for micro-surfacing preparation works. The closure will be in place from the junction with Berry Avenue to the junction with Oakdene Road and a diversion route will be available.
- Coring investigation works by Hertfordshire County Council may cause some disruption in Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, from February 3 to February 5. The works are due to be carried out between the junctions of Green Lane and Hayling Road from 9.30am to 4pm under Stop & Go boards.
- Pathway reconstruction works are set to shut Oakfield, Rickmansworth, for two weeks from February 5 to February 20. The closure will apply from the junctions with Edinburgh Drive to The Queens Drive and a diversion will be in place.
- Delays are likely in Ridge Lane, Watford, from February 6 to February 8 when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. The work is due to take place near to the junction with Denewood Close and multi-way traffic lights will be in use at this time.
- Part of Valley Walk, Croxley Green, is due to be closed from 9.30am to 4pm, from February 6 to February 8 for micro-surfacing preparation works. One.Network advises the work will take place from A412 Watford Road to No. 95. Nos. 114 to 126 are not included.
