A beauty salon has faced a “nightmare” after a criminal threw a brick through its window.
Herts Police are investigating a criminal damage report from Rosa Aesthetics in London Road, Apsley, after its glass was smashed in at some time between 7pm last night (January 23) and 1.20am this morning.
Despite the damage to the entrance, the offender did not enter the business but instead made off in an unknown direction.

Owner Charlie Osbourne said: “Looking at it, it’s made a hole and cracked the rest of the glass but they wouldn’t have been able to get their hand in and up, the hole was too low and there wasn’t enough smashed for them to get through hand enter.”
Mrs Osbourne explained that she will have to close the business for a few days while she is left with the “nightmare” of arranging insurance and repairs, with the broken glass leaving the business unsafe to operate out of.
She added that she and her husband are planning to offer a reward to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest.
Herts Police have said anyone with information can report it online, or by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 41/6385/24.
