A major Watford road was closed for hours after an Audi hit a tree amid Storm Isha.
This morning (January 22), Watford's police force asked motorists to avoid the Stephenson Way area as the road was blocked while they worked at the scene of a crash.
Shortly afterwards, Hertfordshire Highways also warned motorists to “avoid the area” saying the road was closed northbound due to a fallen tree.

The disruption was one part of widespread travel chaos after Storm Isha sparked a yellow weather warning for the entire UK.
This morning, the M1 was stopped southbound near Junction 9, for Hemel Hempstead, due to a crash and the A1(M) was shut between junctions 1 and 2, near the M25 South Mimms, due to another serious collision.
A derailed engineering train on Sunday has cancelled trains on Southern and London Underground services from Watford Junction today.
