Watford's 25-storey Clarendon development has reached its highest point, with an event put on to mark the occasion.
Developer Regal London celebrated the milestone moment in the construction of The Clarendon and The Clarendon Works office building with a topping out ceremony for the 25-storey block, which was attended by the likes of Mayor Peter Taylor.
One of the tallest buildings in Watford, the 168 new homes and 140,000sqft of workspace will play a key role in the wider regeneration of the town.
The ceremony is the latest milestone for The Clarendon, with only 39 apartments still available to purchase, while The Clarendon Works will open its doors to businesses later this year.
"This is a very special moment for both Watford and Regal London, and the partnership between us," said Jonathan Seal, chief executive officer of Regal London.
"Sustainability and wellness are at the heart of our decision making at Regal London, which is why The Clarendon and The Clarendon Works are designed with such a sharp focus on both the residents and workers who will enjoy their spaces, and the wider community through our various community initiatives and the economic benefits the scheme will bring.
"A huge thank you to all of our partners at Watford Council, St John’s School, Building Heroes and the Watford Chamber of Commerce for ensuring that this is more than just a development project, and that the impact is felt more broadly throughout the community."
