Proposals to repair and restore a 300-year-old house on the site of a school are among the planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils.
Haberdashers Askes Boys School has applied to Hertsmere Borough Council for permission to carry out the works at Aldenham House, the earliest part of which dates from the 17th century.
A statement with the application states planning and listed building consent was granted for "more significant works" in August 2022.
It adds: "The current application proposals comprise a reduced scope of works to address the priority elements included in the extant permission.
"This has been necessary due to the urgency of bringing forward key maintenance and repair works to the listed building, coupled with the increasing costs of building projects."
