A former care home has been placed on the market at £1.6m, with a reopening on the cards.
The closed-down Littledene House facility in Bushey Grove Road was placed on the market by estate agent Christie & Co this week.
Offers are invited as both a £1,6000,000 asking price freehold and to let/leasehold with a £120,000 guide price.

It has 14 bedrooms and, subject to planning permission, the listing states that it has the potential to be reopened as a specialist care home, children’s day nursery, or supported living site.
The last CQC inspection for the now-vacant location found that it placed residents' safety at harm because risks were not well managed, rating it ‘inadequate’ in three categories and ‘requires improvement’ in two.

The building is described as “a traditionally built property of brick construction with rendered facades to the front under a pitched tiled roof”.
As a care facility, it has apparently been extended multiple times and had a lift installed.
