A 61-year-old is set to face a crown court trial over alleged threats to kill and causing actual bodily harm.
Jeffery McCalla appeared in High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on January 11. His case was then sent to Aylesbury Crown Court where a plea and trial preparation hearing will take place on February 12.
McCalla, of Darvells Yard, Chorleywood, is charged with making threats to kill a man in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, on June 11, 2023, and assaulting the same individual causing actual bodily harm on the same day.

In court documents, he is listed as having entered a not guilty plea or no plea for both charges during the magistrates' court appearance.
He has been released on bail, with conditions.
According to the charge, he made the threat to kill the man intending that he “would fear that the said threat would be carried out”.
The Crown Prosecution Service states that in law actual bodily harm "includes any hurt calculated to interfere with the health or comfort of the victim". It adds "such hurt need not be permanent, but must be more than transient and trifling".
