A man who was arrested on suspicion of raping a teenager in Watford has been bailed for another three months.
The suspect, 24, was arrested on Sunday, October 15, after reports of the attack involving a girl aged under 18 at a home in the town centre.
At the time, a Herts Police spokesperson told the Watford Observer: “Police received a report of a serious sexual offence in a private residential address in Watford town centre at 8.15pm on Sunday, October 15.
“Officers attended and a 24-year-old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault involving a child.
“He has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.”

The suspect’s bail period was set to expire on January 15, but that has now been extended for another three months to enable further investigation, a force spokesperson said.
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
