A man has been arrested after weapons - including machetes - and a large haul of drugs and cash were found during a police raid in South Oxhey.
Officers from Three Rivers’ Scorpion Team discovered a cannabis stash worth between £20,000 and £25,000, and more than £3,500 in cash at a property off Oxhey Drive last Wednesday.
Zombie knives, machetes and an air rifle were also found when officers forced entry to the property at 6.50am.
A 20 year-old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, possession with the intent to supply class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
He was released on strict conditional bail while police enquiries continue.
PC Charlie Jones, who led the operation, said: “This outcome is the result of a team effort between us and officers in the Watford Scorpion Team, as well as detectives in the Three Rivers’ Local Crime Unit.
“This high-visibility police action is part of our ongoing efforts to target and disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Three Rivers.
“We are constantly working behind the scenes to gather evidence, make arrests and remove illegal drugs and weapons from our streets.”
