A proposal to install an automatic irrigation system at a croquet club is among the planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils this week.

Watford (Cassiobury) Croquet Club has applied to Watford Borough Council to install the system for its four croquet lawns in Cassiobury Park with water supplied from a new borehole.

The application states the system will consist of pop-up sprinklers with the water supplied by underground pipes. The borehole is expected to be dug to a depth of 60m, but a manhole cover will be the only sign of it on the surface.

Christmas may be coming but plenty of applications have still been submitted to the four authorities as you can see by scrolling down our extensive list.

It includes those applications validated by Watford, Three Rivers and Dacorum councils in the week beginning December 18, plus ones related to Aldenham, Bushey, Radlett and Watford submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council in the week ending December 17.
