The new year may not have started yet but roadworks are already planned for the early days of 2024 in some roads in and around Watford.
A street is set to be shut for more than a month for building works, while other roads will be closed for a much shorter time for repair and maintenance works by water companies.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works planned to happen in our area at the start of January 2024:
- Devereux Drive, Watford, is set to be closed from 8am to 5pm, from January 2 to January 4 for works by Thames Water.
- Thames Water is also due to be carrying out works in neighbouring Harford Drive, Watford, between the same times and on the same dates. Again, the road is set to be closed.
- Delays are likely in Harwoods Road, Watford, from January 2 to January 4 for works by Affinity Water. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Westland Road, Watford, is set to be shut to motorists for more than a month from January 3 for scaffold and development woks alongside Nos. 1 to 15 Junction Court. The closure is due to last until February 19.
- Two-way traffic lights will be in use when works take place in Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth, on January 4. These are due to be located between the entrance to the Royal Masonic School for Girls and the junction with Loudwater Lane.
