A proposal to remove a public payphone opposite a church is among the planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils this week.

An application has been lodged with Three Rivers District Council to remove the payphone opposite All Saints Church in Croxley Green because it is hardly used.

A supporting statement with the application says the phone has only been used nine times in the last 12 months, of which one call was to the emergency services.
