Every journey on a Watford railway line has been cancelled until the end of the day.
Buses will replace trains on the Abbey Line, between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey, after a train suffered a fault on the route.
The issue was first reported just before 12pm today (December 14) and the disruption is expected to last until the end of the day, with no services able to run.
- Abbey Line set to get no trains for a whole week
- F. Hinds open in atria Watford after leaving town in 1986
- Fifth bid to turn town centre offices into homes after refusals
Tickets can be used on the rail replacement buses, which are now running in both directions, and travellers may be entitled to compensation if they are delayed, National Rail said.

The cancellations follow a week-long cancellation of every Abbey Line journey between December 1 and 9 when no trains were set to run due to an overtime ban from the train drivers’ union.
During that time all services were replaced with buses.
The Abbey Line serves Watford Junction, Watford North, Garston, Bricket Wood, How Wood, Park Street, and St Albans.
