Police are investigating “frightening” reports of a man brazenly stealing Christmas decorations from Watford homes.
Herts Police have confirmed that they received a report of a man unscrewing a decorative Christmas light from a front door in Balmoral Road, North Watford, between 6am and 6.30am on Sunday morning (December 10).
It was reported that the suspect then made off with the light towards St Albans Road, police confirmed, adding that enquiries are continuing.

The decorations belonged to Mary Malone, who found out more people in the area had apparently seen a similar looking man acting suspiciously recent days when she shared her shocking Ring doorbell footage.
She said: “I did see him, it was frightening. The sensor light came on and there was the ring doorbell, but he took no notice whatsoever of it.
“I’ve then had about 50 comments from people. I had to report it.”
Some who saw the Nextdoor post claimed they had spotted been seen in other roads such as Norfolk Avenue, St Albans Road, and Bradshaw Road. This included some who thought they saw him, or had footage of him, in their gardens and again taking or trying to take decorations.
Herts Police have not confirmed that it has been linked the incident to other reports, but other people with similar reports or more information have been asked to contact police.
