A pedestrian in his 90s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in South Oxhey.
Herts Police appealed for witnesses to come forward this morning (December 8) after the collision at around 7.40am yesterday.
It reportedly involved a red Honda Jazz and a man in his 90s at the central island in Hayling Road, near to the junction with Nairn Green.
The driver remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.

Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the road policing unit, said: “Our investigation into this incident is continuing, and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.
“We believe that there were numerous vehicles in the area at the time, and I would urge anyone with information to contact me."
He also urged anyone driving nearby with dash cam fitted to check whether "crucial footage" had been recorded.
