Although the number of planned roadworks across our area is decreasing in the run up to Christmas, drivers may still experience some delays due to works that are due to take place in the next couple of weeks.
Cleaning works are scheduled in Radlett Road, Watford, on Monday while a section of Elstree Road, in Bushey, is due to be shut to motorists from December 19.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works scheduled to happen during this month.
- Drivers using Radlett Road, Watford, on Monday may experience delays when works are due to take place from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Two-way traffic lights will be in use while road cleaning works are carried out from the roundabout with Orphanage Road to the railway bridge.
- St Albans Road, Watford, at the junction with Purbrock Avenue, will be closed from 8am to 6pm, from Monday to Friday to allow UK Power Networks to install a new power connection.
- Motorists using Nightingale Road, Bushey, may encounter delays while micro surfacing aftercare works take place from Monday to Wednesday. The works are scheduled to be carried out under stop and go signs between 7.30am and 6pm each day.
- Micro-surfacing aftercare works are also due to be taking place in Coombe Road, Bushey, from Monday to Wednesday, from 7.30am to 6pm. This work will be taking place between the junctions with Garratts Road and Ivinghoe Road and stop and go signs will again be used.
- Delays are likely in Reddings Avenue, Bushey, from Wednesday to Friday when Openreach are due to be carrying out works. These are set to take place from 9.30am to 3.30pm daily and two-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Delays are possible in Sussex Road, Watford, from December 15 to December 19 when micro surfacing aftercare works are due to be carried out. The work will be taking place under stop and go signs at the Leavesden Road end of Sussex Road between 7.30am and 6pm daily.
- Elstree Road, Bushey, will be closed from December 19 to January 2 for utility works by Cadent. The closure will be in place from the junction with High Road to The Rutts and a diversion will be in place.
