Cars reportedly did not move for almost an hour after the A41 was left partially blocked by a crash this afternoon.
At around 3.20pm today (December 1) Sullivan Buses confirmed that its service would be late to Queens' School because of the crash. The company shared that its bus apparently did not move for nearly an hour while stuck in the “very very slow” traffic.
Hertfordshire County Council Highways has warned motorists to avoid the road in Watford, between the Hartspring Roundabout (near Costco) and Sandy Lane (where the McDonald’s is).

It added that a crash earlier in the afternoon has left part of the road blocked to traffic in both directions. As of 5.15pm, there were around 20-minute delays for journeys, according to Google Maps.
There are currently also ongoing roadworks near the Hartspring Roundabout, to repair a fault, but these were judged to be unlikely to cause delays.
Herts Police have been contacted for more information. Update to follow.
