Police arrested 14 men in a busy night of police pursuits at the Hertfordshire border.
On Thursday night (November 9), Hertfordshire Police, Metropolitan Police, and the National Police Air Service joined the Essex Police-led Operation Claymore to disrupt cross border crime between Essex, London, and Hertfordshire.
Police recovered nine lost or stolen vehicles and carried out 13 stop searches.

Eleven of the men were arrested for burglary or related offences. Other reasons for arrests included for theft of a motor vehicle, drug driving, going equipped to steal, possession of class B drugs, and ABH.
Three were arrested after a Bentley Bentayga stolen from Cambridgeshire was pursued and stopped on the M11. Another two were arrested after a crash as officers pursued a stolen Toyota Aygo in Harlow.
PC Ross Ashcroft, who coordinated the operation, said: “These criminals are travelling between counties and from one force area to another. We want to prevent them from crossing the borders and committing those offences.
“Getting different forces and teams to work together and share intelligence about the people and groups committing high-harm crime is invaluable.
“We were really pleased with the number of people we apprehended tonight and the disruption we caused to their activity.”
