A country lane in Rickmansworth is set to be shut for a month while delays are also likely on several major routes in and around Watford due to works including window cleaning and shrub pruning.

Sarratt Lane is due to be closed to motorists from November 20 for gas works, while the other works will be taking place in roads including Clarendon Road, Rickmansworth Road and Cassio Road.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in our area over the next few weeks:

- Delays are likely when utility works take place in Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth, on November 17. Two-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Loudwater Lane.

- Marlborough Road, Watford, is scheduled to be shut at its junction with Cassio Road from 9am to 12 noon on November 19 for column replacement works.

- Clarendon Road, Watford, will be closed at its junction with Station Road from 9am to 4pm on November 19 for window cleaning.

- Sarratt Lane, Rickmansworth, is set to be shut for a month from November 20 for gas works by Cadent. The closure is due to last until December 22 and is needed to replace a gas pipe and revisit works previously started. A diversion will be in place.

- A lane will be closed in Waterfields Way, Watford, between November 20 to November 22 for road sweeping and litter picking. The work is due to take place from 10pm to 5am on the central reservation of the road from Lower High Street to Waterfields Way roundabout.

- Road sweeping and litter picking is also due to happen from 10pm to 5am on the same dates in Stephenson Way, Watford. A lane will be closed to allow for the work to be safely carried out on the central reservation to the borough boundary.

- More overnight road sweeping and litter picking is scheduled to take place at the same times and on the same dates on the central reservation of Beechen Grove (A411), Watford, to River Colne flyover.

- California Lane, Bushey Heath, will be shut to motorists from November 20 to November 22 for works by Affinity Water. A diversion will be in place.

- Delays are likely in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, when a lane will be closed from November 20 to November 29 for the safe pruning of shrubs next to the carriageway. The work is due to take place between 9.30am and 3pm daily on the section of the road from Cassiobury Park Avenue to Watford Colosseum.

- A lane is also due to be closed between 9.30am and 3pm, from November 20 to November 29 for shrub pruning in Cassio Road, Watford. This work is due to take place from Rickmansworth Road to the verges in Upton Road.
