A road in central Watford has been closed by Hertfordshire County Council for "emergency highway repairs".
Water Lane is set to remain shut between the railway bridge tunnel and river bridge until 4pm tomorrow (Thursday, November 9).
The "highway repair and maintenance works" are currently underway, with details available via the One Network website.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council said: "We are currently carrying out emergency carriageway repairs under a 24/7 road closure on Water Lane, Watford, between the railway bridge tunnel and river bridge."

Earlier this year, resurfacing works on the road were delayed until 2024, with residents dubbing the highway "Pothole Alley", according to Liberal Democrat councillor Stephen Giles-Medhurst.
HCC said the intention was to carry out “targeted maintenance work” on the road in 2023.
But it was decided that the entire road should be resurfaced next year.
