A Watford nursery says it is “delighted” after its Ofsted rating improved just months after its last inspection.
After a visit from the regulator on September 28, Boys and Girls Nursery (Watford) jumped from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’.
Located in Loates Lane, near the town centre, it has 85 children on roll who “enjoy exciting learning experiences”, according to the report published yesterday (November 2).

Director Natasha Kirby said: “We are very proud of our latest Ofsted report and are so pleased to achieve a grading the team truly deserve.
“We work extremely hard to provide an environment where our children feel valued and supported in their learning, and it’s great to see this reflected in the comments made by the inspectors.”
The nursery, established in 2007, had been judged to require improvement in all categories after an inspection in March, this year, but has quickly reclaimed its previous ‘good’ rating in each area.
“Leaders and managers have taken considerable steps to improve children's experiences across the nursery,” the inspector said.
“Robust oversight from management helps to swiftly address any areas of weaker practice.”
She added: “Staff know the needs of children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities well.
“They use this information to provide and adapt experiences to support their ongoing development.”
