If you wanted a meal or a night out away from Watford town centre in the 1980s and 1990s, a popular spot for many people was Calendars.
The bar and restaurant was located in St Albans Road, Garston, and in March 1996 it held a Caribbean night.
A Watford Observer photographer joined the party atmosphere and captured all the fun as clubbers donned their Hawaiian shirts and straw skirts to limbo their way through the night to the accompaniment of a steel band.
