Drivers using some of Watford’s busiest roads may have their journeys delayed for reasons including bus stop improvement works and shrub pruning.
The bus stop works are due to take place in Beechen Grove next week, with lane closures are planned in both Radlett Road and Exchange Road to allow workers to safely prune shrubs next to the carriageway.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of roadworks due to take place in Watford over the next few weeks.
- Motorists may experience delays in Beechen Grove, Watford, from Monday to Wednesday when a lane is closed for improvement works on a bus stop. The work is due to take place on the westbound carriageway, 73m west of the junction with Albert Road South.
- Delays are also likely in Radlett Road, Watford, from Monday to Friday when a lane will be closed to prune shrubs on two roundabouts, at the junction with Colonial Way and the junction with Orphanage Road. The closures are due to be in place from 9.30am and 3pm.
- Two-way traffic lights will be in use in Balmoral Road, Watford, from Monday to Friday for works by Eclipse Power Networks. The work is scheduled to take place from 7.30am to 5pm each day.
- A lane is also due to be closed in Beechen Grove, Watford, on Tuesday for bollard replacement works. The closure will be effective from 9.30am to 3.30pm close to the exit of Sutton Car Park.
- Temporary two-way lights will be in use in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, when Affinity Water carry out works from November 4 to November 6. This work is due to happen close to the junction with Harwoods Road.
- Delays are likely when a lane is due to be closed in Exchange Road, Watford, to prune shrubs next to the road. The work is due to take place from 9.30am to 3pm, from November 6 to November 14 in four sections: Exchange Road from Lower High Street to Cambridge Road (lane 3); Exchange Road from Lower High Street to Vicarage Road (lane 1); Exchange Road from Kings Street to Market Street (lane 3); Exchange Road from Marlborough Road to Upton Road (lane 1).
